Discussion and possible action to ratify the acceptance of the 2017 - 2018 Refunding grant (Year 4 of a 5 year funding cycle) for the Head Start and Early Head Start program in the amount of $10,068,938 (Federal), with an in-kind match of $2,517,235 to serve 1,218 Head Start and 72 Early Head Start eligible children and their families from September 1, 2017 through August 31, 2018 in Webb County. Acceptance of the grant award includes salary adjustments and new/revised/deleted positions.

Background:

This is an annual Refunding grant for the Head Start and the Early Head Start Program. Non-Federal share does not require a cash match.

Previous Court Action:

This application was approved by the Court on May 22, 2017.
