Discussion and possible action to approve and modify Slot #1149 currently Part-Time Food Transporter at 20 hours per week @ $10.36 per hour with no benefits and convert to Full-Time Food Transporter/Food Service Worker at 80 hours per week @ $10.36 wage per hour to include health benefits. CAA – Meals on Wheels program is not part of the County’s Wage Plan, money has been allocated for this fiscal year.

Background:

The Food Transporter/Food Service Worker is responsible for picking up meals and carrying them in designated food containers and deliver them daily to client’s assigned thru specific route and designated time periods. The increase of the two (2) working hours will allow for the program to create efficiency and productivity as well as alleviate overload of tasks from other kitchen staff members.
