Discussion and possible action to approve a Resolution regarding various compliance matters required by the Texas Department of Agriculture Texas Community Development Block Grant #7217491, and authorizing County Judge to sign all relevant documentation. This action will have no impact on the County’s General Fund.

Issue: Civil Rights and other compliance requirements must be implemented by Webb County to comply with grant funding agency program requirements.

Solution: Civil Rights must be implemented and will allow compliance of Citizen Participation Planned Grievance Procedures; Section 3 Policy; Excessive Force Policy; Section 504 Policy; and Fair Housing Policy.

Result: Economic Development Department will assure compliance with requirements from funding agency.

Background:

Texas Community Development Block Grant received from the Texas Department of Agriculture in the amount of $275,000 for roadway improvements in Colonia Pueblo Nuevo. Construction shall take place in the following Colonia Pueblo Nuevo roadways: West Ibarra, West Maria Elena and West Mendoza

Previous Court Action:

Commissioners Court approved the acceptance of the Texas Community Development Program (TCDP) contract #7217491 from the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) in the amount of Two Hundred Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars ($275,000) for roadway improvements in Colonia Pueblo Nuevo and authorize Webb County Judge to sign all relevant documentation.
