Discussion and possible action to reject all Request for Qualifications (RFQ) submitted for (RFQ) 2018-001 "Consulting Services for Webb County's Workers Compensation, Property/Casualty/Liability, and Group Health Insurance Programs" and authorize the Purchasing Agent to re-solicit for RFQ to secure a larger pool of proposals in order to provide multiple options to Webb County. [Requested by Alexandra Colessides, Interim Risk Director]

Issue: Only two (2) proposals were submitted. County staff is recommending to increase the pool of proposals to have more options prior to evaluating qualifications.

Solution: Authorize the Purchasing Agent to solicit qualified firms for Consulting Services for workers compensation, property / casualty / liability, and group health insurance programs.

Results: Secure a larger pool of qualified proposals, evaluated and recommend qualified firm(s) to Commissioners Court.

Background:

Only two (2) RFQ were submitted and opened by the Purchasing Agent. The Committee overseeing the evaluation of these submittals is recommending that the Court reject all RFQ and authorize the Purchasing Agent to resolicit in order to secure a larger pool of proposals for Webb County.
