Discussion and possible action to award Invitation to Bid (ITB) 2018-001 "Self Help Home Reconstruction Project-Texas Community Development Program Grant (TCDP) #7216013" to the lowest and responsible bidder Bronze Builders for Project #SHC Recon 01 for $48,695.00, Project #SHC-Recon-02 for $48,593.00 and Project # SHC-Recon-03 for $48,695.00, and authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents; and any other matters incident thereto. [Requested by Javier Ramirez, CAA Director; Account #2530-6360-521-443057-010 (Home Reconstruction- Grant No. TCDP 7216013)]

Issue: On January 22, 2018, Commissioners Court authorized the Purchasing Agent to reject all bids and rebid project due to bids exceeding grant budgets.

Solution: ITB 2018-001 was advertised and 2 bids were secured by Purchasing Agent. Bronze Builders was the low bidder.

Result: Authorize County Staff to proceed with construction contract execution and construction of the 3 project homes funded by Texas Community Development Program Grant.

Background:

Commissioners Court authorized the Purchasing Agent to rebid the home reconstruction projects due to original bids exceeding the grant budgets. ITB 2018-001 secured two (2) bids. On all three projects Bronze Builders was the lowest and responsible bidder.
