Discussion and possible action to authorize the Purchasing Agent to solicit for formal bid proposals for La Presa Park Project in accordance with the Local Government Code, Sub-Chapter C. (Competitive Bidding in General). [Requested by Commissioner Jesse Gonzalez, Pct. 1]

Issue: Previous award was rescinded in order to try and secure additional funding for project through a State grant. The grant funding was not secured due to the competitive process with other government agencies.

Solution: Authorize the Purchasing Agent to go out for competitive bids. All plans / specs are completed.

Result: Secure bids and present the lowest and responsible bidder for future award.
