Discussion and possible action to authorize the Purchasing Agent to solicit bids for Webb County Community Action Agency-Program year 2018 Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program Heating and Cooling Service Provider for the repair or replacement including labor of Central Air Conditioning Units, Evaporative Coolers, Window A/C Units and Heating/Cooling portable units for program eligible Webb County residents within extreme weather conditions.

Issue: Low income families are unable to service heating/ cooling units or repair.

Solution: Contractors will replace, repair air conditioning and heating units for program eligible Webb County residents.

Result: Improve quality of life to program eligible Webb County residents.

Background:

The acquisition of Webb County CAA-Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program-Heating and Cooling service provider is necessary for the implementation of the CEAP Heating and Cooling component and required for compliance with the Texas Administrative Codes 6.302 and 6.310.
