Discussion and possible action to enter into a non-binding resolution in support of City of Laredo Tax Incremental Reinvestment Zone 2, also known as, The Coves at Winfield (hereinafter TIRZ 2), to consider what level, if any, of participation in the TIRZ 2, and to appoint a Webb County representative to the TIRZ 2 board to negotiate the terms of an interlocal agreement between Webb County and the participating entities, as well level of participation, and authorizing the County Judge to sign any relevant documents. Any action taken today does not bind the County to actually participate in the TIRZ 2 but merely allows for the negotiation of the County’s participation, if any, in the TIRZ 2. No agreement shall be final and binding upon Webb County unless and until placed back on the agenda and approved during regular session by Webb County Commissioners Court.
