Discussion and possible action to approve grant application STATE- R- 2018- WEBB CO- 00046 with the State of Texas, acting through the Texas Department of Transportation in the amount of TWO HUNDRED EIGHTY NINE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED SEVENTY-THREE DOLLARS ($289,273.00) for El Aguila Rural Transportation Program, and authorizing Webb County Judge to execute all relevant documents; and any other matters incident thereto. All required documentation has been sent for review to the Economic Development Department and the solicitation is compliant with Webb County's Single Point of Contact (SPOC) procedures. [Requested by El Aguila Rural Transportation]

Issue: El aguila is a grant funded agency.

Solution: State funds will benefit operations budget plan and monies will be used to cover County Match expenses.

Result: Continuation of services throughout the rural areas of Webb County.

Background:

El Aguila Rural Transportation will receive $289,273.00 in State monies as part of FY 2018 - 2019 budget for the continuation of public transportation services to the residents of Rural Webb County to begin on September 1, 2018 and expire August 31, 2019.

Previous Court Action:

On June 25, 2018, Commissioner's Court approved the initial application submitted to TxDOT, funding source, under line item 16a.
