Issue: The budget appropriated under fund 2725 has been depleted therefore; expenditures incurred cannot be recorded into the County’s general ledger.

Solution: Request a supplemental budget amendment.

Result: Expenditures can be recored and be reflected as part of the County’s general ledger for fiscal year 2018.

Background:

The District Attorney receives $22,500 in apportionment funds from the Judiciary section of the State of Texas. These funds are under the discretion of the District Attorney and are for the payment of salaries, travel and expenses of assistant prosecutors, investigators and administrative staff. These funds are also eligible to be used for the day to day operating expenses of the office as outlined in the following excerpt from the General Appropriations Act.
