Discussion and possible action to continue the payment of court interpreter stipend for Slot #1371, in the amount not to exceed $6,448.00, with additional action to determine funding source as it was not requested in budget; and any other matters incident thereto.

Issue: The stipend for court interpreter was inadvertently overlooked and was not added to the general order for fiscal year 2018-2019.

Solution: Determine a funding source to be able to continue providing services.

Result: By funding this stipend, services will continue as it has in previous years.

Background:

On December 21, 2017, commissioner’s court approved the transfer of interpreter stipend to County Court at Law No. 1. Due to the Collective Barganing Agreement this stipend is not able to be in the budget for the Sheriff's Department.
