Discussion and possible action to authorize payment not to exceed $1,025.00 to Tyler Technologies for programming services related to a financial script needed for the enhancement of our judicial software, Odyssey. Funds to be used will be from the Justice of the Peace Technology Fund pursuant to Article 102.0173 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure. [Account #2009-2180-001-460105 (Minor Tools - Technology Fund)]

Issue: Several Justices of the Peace cases have an expired fee that needs to be adjusted to zero in order charge defendants the appropriate fee.

Solution: Once Tyler Odyssey programs and deploys the financial script, cases will have only the applicable court costs, fees and fines assessed.

Result: Clerks will be able to continue to carry daily duties in an efficient manner and defendants will not be overcharged.
