Discussion and possible action to approve the purchase of 600 linear feet of Reinforced Concrete Precast Box Culverts (C-1577) from Rio Valley Pipe, LLC dba CAPA in the amount of $190,452.00 for Las Lomas Culvert and Roadway Improvement Project and to further approve an exemption in accordance with the Texas Local Government Code, Section 262.024 (Discretionary Exemptions) (a.)(2.) An item necessary to preserve or protect the public health or safety of the residents of the County. [2019A Bond Series]

Issue: Due to risk of flooding in Las Lomas subdivision, Webb County is making the necessary improvements to provide proper drainage and emergency access road improvements to this subdivision.

Solution: Part of the improvements require installation of concrete box culverts for proper drainage. There bid proposals were secured by the Purchasing Agent. Lowest bidder is Rio Valley Pipe, dba CAPA.

Results: Authorize the purchase to proceed with order.
