Discussion and possible action to approve a pay rate adjustment from $24.04/hour to $29.04/hour for Slot #2895, Licensed Professional Counselor/Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor for the 406^th Judicial District Veterans Treatment Court - Texas Veterans Commission Funds for Veterans Assistance Grant, effective March 15, 2019, and authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents; and any other matters incident thereto. This position is 100% funded by grant funds and it does not fall under the County’s Wage Plan. There is no impact to the General Fund. [Account #2872-2040-001-410000]

Issue: The current annual compensation is not comparable to the qualifications and experience of the LPC/LCDC. An adjustment is necessary in order to bring the annual compensation up to parity with similar positions in the Laredo area.

Solution: Obtain the approval of the Commissioners’ Court to adjust the annual compensation of the LPC/LCDC.

Result: The LPC/LCDC will be fairly compensated according to her qualifications, experience and job duties.
