Discussion and possible action to approve the submission of a grant application as prepared and submitted by the Webb County Head Start and Early Head Start Program to the Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children & Families for a Fiscal Year 2019 - 2020 grant in the amount of $10,524,168 (Federal) and $2,631,042 (Non Federal) for a Total Amount of $13,155,210 for services to 1,290 eligible children and their families; and authorizing the Webb County Judge to execute all relevant documents related to this grant; and other matters thereto. Furthermore, this grant does not require a cash match; and, thus will have no impact to the general fund. All required documents were sent for review through the Economic Development Department and the solicitation is compliant with the Webb County Single Point of Contact (SPOC) procedures. Background:

The 2019 - 2020 Head Start and Early Head Start Grant Application is for year one of a five-year funding cycle.

The 2019 - 2020 Head Start and Early Head Start Refunding Application was approved on May 14, 2018..
