Discussion and possible action to authorize the Purchasing Agent to solicit Competitive Sealed Proposals for the construction, rehabilitation, alteration, or repair to County property located on 1002 Farragut Street in accordance with the Texas Government Code; Section 2269.151 (Contracts for Facilities; Competitive Sealed Proposals). [2019A Bond Series; Account 3867-7230-001-474501-002 Construction in Progress Finish Out/Remodeling]

Issue: Commissioners Court approved and has received bond money allocated for this project from the 2019A Bond Series.

Solution: Authorize the Purchasing Agent to solicit formal proposals for this project in accordance with Section 2269.151 of the Texas Government Code.

Result: Secure formal proposals for consideration of award by Commissioners Court.

Background:

Bond proceeds totaling $5,000,000.00 have been allocated for the renovations and/or repairs to the former HEB building. Currently Frank Architects is the selected Architect under contract. Preliminary work has started to secure digital imaging of building by Architect's staff.

Award to Frank Architects, Inc. on January 14, 2019.
