Discussion and possible action to authorize the continued payment of salary and fringe benefits for the Texas Veterans Commission (TVC) grant funded Regional Coordinator, Regional LPC/LCDC Counselor, Regional Case Manager and UA Technician until the formal Notice of Grant Award between Webb County and TVC is executed, for a period not to exceed Ninety (90) days. On May 16, 2019, Webb County and the 406th District Court Veterans Treatment Program received notification of grant award in the amount of $300,000 effective July 1, 2019 - June 30, 2020. [Requested by 406th District Court]

Issue: Authorization from Commissioners Court is required in order to continue paying salary and fringe benefits for grant funded personnel until the Notice of Grant Award between Webb County and the Texas Veterans Commission is executed.

Solution: The Webb County Commissioners Court approving the continued payment of salary and fringe benefits until the execution of the Notice of Grant Award.

Result: The staff may continue to be paid and work to meet program goals.
