Discussion and possible action to enter into an Interlocal Mutual Aid Agreement for three years (from October 1, 2019, through September 30, 2021) between Webb County and Jim Wells County for the mutual benefit of curtailing criminal activity through cooperative operations; and authorizing the Webb County Judge to execute all relevant documents and any other matters incident thereto. This is only a cooperative agreement with no financial aspects; and, thus, there is no impact to the general fund.

Background:

From time to time the collaboration of law enforcement agencies is necessary to curtail criminal activity as it passes between counties. A mutual aid agreement allows agencies to provide assistance to each other.
