Discussion and possible action to approve the purchase of one (1) Sprinter 3500 MEB 3.0L Mobile Command Center to include audio/visual, computer and emergency lighting equipment from Farber Specialty Vehicles in an amount not to exceed $187,744.00 pursuant to Sections 271.001 and 271.102 of the Texas Local Government Code, Cooperative Purchasing Program (Buy-Board Contract #538-17); the command center will be assigned to Judge Jose R. Salinas, Justice of the Peace Pct. 4 in partnership with the Texas Department of Public Safety for traffic enforcement operations on Interstate 35 and authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: There is a need of purchasing a Sprinter 3500 MEB 3.0L Mobile Command Center to ensure the citizens of Webb County that the cargo weights of 18 wheeler transportation are complying with state laws.

Solution: Commissioner's Court approving the purchase of the Sprinter 3500 MEB 3.0L Mobile Command Center.

Result: Fewer accidents involving 18 wheeler transports will provide safety to the community and less liability for the transport businesses within Webb County.
