Discussion and possible action to authorize the purchase of one (1) Vector License Plate Reader (LPR) Trailer, TraffiData Software and camera from Jenoptik Light & Safety for an amount not to exceed $51,386.96 and to further authorize a discretionary exemption in accordance with the Texas Local Government Code; Section 262.024 (7)(A), sole source. Issue: The Webb County Sheriff's Office will be utilizing federal grant funds to purchase a LPR to gather data from southbound traffic on interstate 35 for investigative purposes.

Solution: Authorize the grant supported equipment in order to provide the Webb County Sheriff's Office with the necessary investigative tools.

Result: Proceed with the grant funded purchase.
