Discussion and possible action to approve a budget amendment from funds available by increasing the expenditure budget by $65,000 to the Sheriff's Office State forfeiture fund; said amount is available from seized funds pursuant to Chapter 59 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure; and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: Proceeds under Chapter 59.06 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure may be spent after a budget for the expenditure of the proceeds has been submitted to the governing body.

Solution: Submit a budget to the governing body that clearly lists and defines the categories of expenditures.

Result: These funds will be available for official use to meet the needs of the office.
