APPROVAL OF CHANGE ORDER FOR THE YOUTH VILLAGE

Discussion and possible action to approve Change Order #1 in the amount of $386,727.90 to Summit Building & Design for the Webb County Youth Village Rehabilitation Center Project. All the items included are considered upgrades with the exception of the drive loop wide-outs, which are being requested by the Fire Department prior to permitting; and authorize the Webb County Judge to execute all relevant documents; and any other matters incident thereto. [Accounts #3115-2450-001-470000 (Capital Outlay), #3140-2450-001-470000-030 (Capital Outlay-Construction), Interest Income Series 2006 and 2013, and #1001-1130-001-431007-010 (Operational Reserve)]

Issue: Additional project improvements shall be completed as detailed in the Change Order. All labor, materials and equipment shall be included.

Addition of (72) parking spaces.
Addition of back-up power supply (generator)
Loop driveway wide-outs (as required by the Laredo Fire Department) due to changes in Fire Code.
LED fixture upgrades.
Addition of Erosion Control Blankets.
Acquiring additional easement for electric utility infrastructure.

Solution: Approve Change Order #1 and proceed with the additional project improvements.

Result: Project will be completed as detailed under the proposed Change Order.
