Discussion and possible action to revise the contract price of the Architectural Services Contract (AIA B101) with Redline Architecture, LLC for the design of the Bruni Public Health Facility from the amount of Forty-Seven Thousand Eighty Dollars ($47,080) plus reimbursement for survey costs and other services at the rate of cost plus ten percent to the total contract price of Forty-Eight Thousand Two Hundred and Thirty-Eight Dollars ($48,238) including survey costs and other services and any other matters incident thereto; authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents. Background:

In an effort to assist beneficiaries in rural areas of Webb County, this project will provide residents accessibility to the first time public health facility with a proposed area of 3,200 SF to be located in the rural community of Bruni, Texas. The facility shall include a parking lot, fencing and sidewalks. The facility shall be operated/facilitated by the Webb County Indigent Healthcare Department and Texas A&M – College Station Colonias Program. The collaboration of these two agencies will allow the Webb County Public Health Facility the opportunity to provide an array of medical services to the rural residents in the colonias of the Non-entitlement County of Webb. Currently, some rural area residents in Webb County must travel up to 80 miles round trip to seek public health services at the nearest City of Laredo health facilities. The proposed public health facility will be located in Bruni, Webb County, Texas located 43 miles south eat of Laredo, Texas.
