Discussion and possible action to authorize the reclassification of Slot #2086. A Supervising Attorney is assigned to each of the felony courts except the 49th District Court. Department is in need of a Supervising Attorney for that court, and requesting a reclassification of Slot#2086, and any other matters incident thereto. If approved by this court, this reclassification will be taken to the Civil Service Commission for certification. [Account #1001-1130-001-431007-015 (Operational Reserve Wage Classification Study)]

Issue: Slot #2086 is currently classified as an Assistant Public Defender II. A reclassification of this slot to a Supervising Attorney slot will allow our office to have a Supervising Attorney in each felony court.

Solution: The reclassification of the Assistant Public Defender II, Grade 23 position (Slot #2086) to a Supervising Attorney Position, Grade 25 will resolve the issue presented above.

Result: A Supervising Attorney will now be assigned in each felony court.
