Discussion and possible action to authorize the purchase of Twenty-Two (22) APX 4000 Portable Radios from Motorola Solutions in an amount not to exceed $79,023.82 (HGAC Contract #17724) for the Webb County Sheriff’s Office in accordance with the Texas Local Government Code, Sub-Chapter F. Cooperative Purchasing Program; Section 271.102 (Cooperative Purchasing Program Participation) and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: Through a federal grant, funding is allocated for the purchase of portable radios to be utilized for multi-jurisdictional law enforcement operations.

Solution: Proceed with the purchase of portable radios.

Result: Supplemental communication tools will be acquired for the enhanced safety of deputies and the general public.
