CAA- El Aguila STATE 5311 FY 19 - 20 Budget Amendment Proposal

Discussion and possible action to amend FY 2019 2020 5311 STATE Project Grant Agreement RUR 2001 (06), wherein Webb County CAA- El Aguila Rural Transportation will be submitting a budget revision in the amount of TWO HUNDRED FOURTEEN THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED NINETY-ONE DOLLARS ($214,891.00) to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). ONE HUNDRED THIRTY FOUR THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED FORTY-ONE DOLLARS ($134,841.00) will be amended from operations/ administrative to capital purchase and EIGHTY THOUSAND FIFTY DOLLARS ($80,050.00) will be used as match towards the remaining FY 19 -20 Federal grant. This amendment would not require County Match and will have no impact to the General Fund. All required documentation has been submitted to the Economic Development Department and the solicitation is compliant with Webb County (SPOC) Single Point of Contact procedures. Issue: CAA- El Aguila Rural Transportation received additional from TxDOT through the CARES Act and as a result, our State and Federal grants will not be fully expended without an amendment.

Solution: Proposed amendment will allow our program to fully expend STATE funds while upgrading fleet as designated by TxDOT.

Result: Decrease in agency’s maintenance cost and continuation of services throughout the rural areas of Webb County.
