Discussion and possible action to authorize a change to the grant Authorized Representative (AR) for SAMHSA TI081059-01 from the 406th Judicial District Court, Honorable Judge Oscar J. Hale Jr., and designating the Honorable Tano E. Tijerina, Webb County Judge as Authorized Representative (AR) as it pertains to the Adult Drug Court Program; authorizing the County Judge to act as the Chief Elected Official in all matters pertaining to the County's request. The change in grant AR does not require a change in the approved budget nor does it affect the general fund. All required documents were sent for review through the Economic Development Department and the request is compliant with the Webb County Single Point of Contact (SPOC) procedures. [Requested by Judge Oscar J. Hale, Jr., 406th Judicial District Court]

Issue: The 406th District Court is requesting a change in management for the above reference grants.

Solution: Through this proposed change, the 406th District Court will be able to focus on newly adopted court procedures as it relates to jury selection and court proceedings.

Result: If the request is approved, the Adult Drug Court Program and the Veterans Treatment Program will continue to provide outpatient treatment services to individuals in the community.
