Discussion and possible action to authorize the purchase of Six (6) VISTA HD Extended Capacity Body Cameras in the amount not to exceed $7,300.00 for the Webb County Constable Pct. 3 in accordance with the Webb County Purchasing Policies and Procedures Manual and authorizing a line item transfer from #1001-1130-001-431007-010 (Operational Reserve) to #1001-3160-001-460105 (Minor Tools and Apparatus - Constable Pct. 3) and any other matters incident thereto.

Issue: Tragic local, state, and national events have eroded public trust in law enforcement agencies and their officers. Body Cameras will reinforce lost trust in local law enforcement at Constable Pct 3 office.

Solution: Proceed with the purchase of said items.

Result: Body-worn cameras provide an audio and visual record of interactions that can capture evidence in the event of a crime, police-citizen interaction, or use-of-force incident.
