Discussion and possible action to execute Project Grant Agreement 5311-2021-WEBB CO-00032 CARES Act for FY 2021 wherein, Webb County Community Action Agency - El Aguila accepts a grant in the amount of SIX HUNDRED THIRTY TWO THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED TWENTY EIGHT DOLLARS ($632,328.00) from The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). This grant does not require a County Match. All required documentation has been submitted for review to the Economic Development Department and the solicitation is compliant with Webb County Single Point of Contact (SPOC) procedures. No impact to the General Fund. [Requested by James Flores, CAA Executive Director]

Issue: The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has allotted monies as part of the COVID19 Emergency Relief Response in order to cover operational expenses at 100% for Webb County Community Action Agency El Aguila Rural Transportation with NO County Match.

Solution: This grant is calculated to reflect average expenses for the Community Action Agency El Aguila from January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2022.

Result: Continuation of transportation services throughout the rural areas of Webb County allowing for safe and reliable response to the transportation needs of rural Webb County during the COVID19 pandemic.
