Issue: The Texas Veterans Commission approved a request to expand services available to veterans participating in the Veteran Treatment Court allowing participants to qualify for rental, mortgage and utility assistance using grant funds.
Solution: With Commissioners Court approval, funds that were previously allocated to support program will be used to directly support the success of veterans participating in the treatment court program.
Result: Providing direct financial support through payments made on behalf of the client, we will be able to allow veterans the opportunity to directly focus their attention on their treatment and court requirements and negate the burden of temporary employment displacement that they may encounter due to the current pandemic. |
