Discussion and possible action to approve grant increase in the amount of TWO HUNDRED THIRTY SEVEN THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED TWENTY ONE DOLLARS ($237,921.00) to Contract Amendment #1, Contract Number #58990003318 for the Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) Cares Act from Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) for Fiscal Year 2020. Authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents. This action will not have an impact to the General Fund. Documentation has been reviewed by Webb County Economic Development Department and is compliant with SPOC polices and procedures. Issue: Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) has awarded Webb County Community Action Agency to the Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program Cares Act the amount of $237,921.00.

Solution: The court approval will allow the Webb County CAA provide direct services to eligible low-income residents of Webb County under the Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP).

Result: These funds are intended to assist eligible Webb County residents that have been economically impacted by COVID-19. The residents will be assisted up to 12 months of energy consumption.
