Discussion and possible action to authorize the Economic Development Department to develop and submit the Community Facility (CF) under the U.S. Department of Agriculture - Rural Development (USDA-RD) in the amount of ONE MILLION FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,500,000.00) in grant funds and FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($500,000.00) in Rio Bravo - ARPA funds for a total of TWO MILLION DOLLARS ($2,000,000.00) for street improvements in Rio Bravo. All required documents were sent for review to the Economic Development and the Solicitation is compliant with the Webb County Single Point of Contact (SPOC) procedures.This action will have no impact to the County General Fund Budget.

Issue: The streets in Rio Bravo were constructed over 20 years ago, and have not been upkept or maintained.

Solution: Repair identified streets in Rio Bravo to increase accessibility and eliminate potential threats to public safety.

Result: The completion of the road renovations in Rio Bravo will improve local residents' access to the roads while removing potential threats to public safety.
