Discussion and possible action to authorize the development and submission of a grant application and resolution to the Texas Department of Parks and Wildlife for the 2024 Community Outdoor Outreach Program in an amount not to exceed $100,000; and authorizing the County Judge to act as the County's Executive Officer and Authorized Representative in all matters pertaining to the County's participation in the 2024 TPWD Community Outdoor Outreach Program. There is no match required for this funding opportunity. All required documents were reviewed by the Economic Development Department and the solicitation is compliant with the Webb County Single Point of Contact (SPOC) procedures.

Issue: Webb County youth lacks the resources that allow experiences to diverse outdoor recreational activities and engagement to Texas’ multiple natural environments.

Solution: Webb County Commissioners Court authorizes the development and submission of the grant application and resolution.

Result: Provide the underserved youth of Webb County the opportunity to experience the natural environments of Texas.
