Subject:

Discussion and possible action to authorize the Purchasing Agent to solicit Request for Proposals (RFP's) for a three (3) year Fuel and Lubricant Service Agreement in accordance with the Texas Local Government Code; Section 262.030 (Alternative Competitive Proposal Procedures for Certain Goods and Services) and any other matters incident thereto.

Issue: The Purchasing Agent is recommending to secure a longer service agreement term for the delivery of fuel and lubricants to the Road and Bride Department and participating County departments.

Solution: Authorize the Purchasing Agent to solicit for formal proposals in accordance with the Texas Local Government Code; §262.030 in order to rank potential respondents to include best and final offers if applicable from all respondents.

Result: Return to Commissioners Court for their consideration to award best value proposal for the requested services for a term of thirty-six (36) months.
