Discussion and possible action to authorize settlement of pending claims against Volkswagen in Multi District Cause Number D-1-GN-00370, In re Volkswagen (Clean Diesel Litigation) pending in the 353rd Judicial District Court, Travis County, Texas, authorizing the County Judge to execute all relevant documents, and any other matters incident thereto. Background:

In 2016, Webb County entered into a Professional Service Agreement with Special Counsel Constant Law Firm (Anthony Constant) and Local Counsel Paul Saenz regarding Clean Air Litigation Regarding Volkswagen. Due to Health concerns, Anthony Constant needs to withdraw as special counsel. The Mithoff Group has agreed to represent Webb County as Special Counsel in the Litigation. There is a confidential offer to settle Webb County's claims.
