Discussion and possible action to authorize the Purchasing Agent to solicit formal competitive bids for the construction of the Southern Public Health Center in southern Webb County to provide health services to low and moderate income residents of Rio Bravo, El Cenizo, and La Presa Communities in accordance with Texas Government Code Chapter 2269 (Contracting and Delivery Procedures for Construction Projects) and if applicable with the Code of Federal Regulations §200.318 - §200.327 (General Procurement Standards) and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: Plans and Specifications are being reviewed by GRANTOR for final approval prior to advertisement for bids. Once approved, bid document will be ready to be published to accept sealed bids by general contractors interested in participating in this publicly funded project by Webb County.

Solution: Authorize the Purchasing Agent to solicit for formal bids in accordance with Federal and State procurement rules.

Result: Proceed with solicitation process and secure sealed bids for approved project.
