Discussion and possible action to award Request for Qualification (RFQ) No. 2023-014 "Self Help Center Architectural Services for Rehabilitation Projects - Economic Development Contract No. CFC-22-0089" to the sole respondent Slay Architecture, LLC, and to further authorize the Civil Legal Department to prepare a professional services contract and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: The Commissioners Court accepted a grant award from the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) on February 27, 2023, Item #11 (a) for housing rehabilitation in the amount of $985,000. The TDA grant will allow Webb County to provide rehabilitation to ten (10) homes under the Economic Development Department Contract #CFC-22-0089.

Solution: Approve award to sole respondent to RFQ, Slay Architecture, LLC.

Result: Proceed with preparation of a professional services contract with sole respondent for the design of plans and specifications, preparation of construction documents, preparation of bidding documents, construction oversight and construction inspections for the Webb County Colonia Fund Construction Housing Rehabilitation Grant.

On June 12, 2023; item no. 8c., the Webb County Commissioners Court authorized the Purchasing Agent to advertise formal Request for Qualifications for Architectural Services for the design of plans and specifications, preparation of construction documents, preparation of bidding documents, construction oversight and construction inspections for the Webb County Colonia Fund Construction Housing Rehabilitation Grant, to rehabilitate ten (10) homes under the Economic Development Department Contract #CFC-22-0089.
