Discussion and possible action to approve the purchase of Nineteen (19) Smart UPS systems from Austin Ribbon Computer Solutions in the amount of $12,089.43 in accordance with the Texas Local Government Code; Section 271.102 Cooperative Purchasing programunder the COPS Grant/DPS Crime Lab equipment; Grant No. 2010-CKWX0572, DIR-SDD 1934. [Requested by Martin Cuellar, Webb County Sheriff; Grant Account #299-2001-6224]

Background:

DOJ / COPS grant program has approved the use of savings from original Grant amount awarded for $250,000 to purchase additional equipment for the local DPS Crime Lab. All quotes were obtained by DPS and forwarded to our Purchasing Agent for approval.

Sheriff's Office recommends approval of this grant approved purchase. NO IMPACT TO G/F.
