Discussion and presentation regarding a possible pilot program to allow credit card payments on utility bills at the Webb County Water Utilities Department. [Co-Sponsored by Luis Perez-Garcia, Webb County Engineer]

Background:

This pilot project to allow credit car payments for utility bills at the Webb County Water Utilities Department is initially proposed to allow these payments without a service fee for a period of time. This time period will allow Webb County to determine the feasibility of continuing this by determining not only true costs involved but determine possible glitches in this type of payment system. This is proposed as an additional service to the customer and will allow the county to determine costs vs. benefits of continued utilization.
