Subject:

Discussion and possible action to approve Resolution regarding various compliance matters required by the Texas Department of Agriculture Texas Community Development Block Grant #7215510, and authorize the County Judge to sign all relevant documentation.

Issue: Civil Rights and other compliance requirements must be implemented by Webb County to be in compliance with grant funding agency program requirements.

Solution: Civil Rights must be implemented and will allow compliance of Citizen Participation Planned Grievance Procedures; Section 3 Policy; Excessive Force Policy; Section 504 Policy; and Fair Housing Policy.

Result: Economic Development Department will assure compliance with requirements from funding agency.

Background:

Texas Community Development Block Grant received from the Texas Department of Agriculture in the amount of $304,922 for a water plant improvements project for the water plant facilities off U.S. HWY 59.

Previous Court Action:

Commissioners Court approved the appointment of Mr. Juan Vargas as the Labor Standards Office rand Designation for Civil Rights Officer for the Texas Community Development Contract #7215510. Approved January 11, 2016: item #25.
