Budget amendment to increase expenditures

Discussion and possible action to approve a budget amendment to increase expenditures in the amount of $14,588 to Account #171-2502-6707 which currently has a balance of $4,365.00. Available funds from Account #171 are currently $14,588.00 federal forfeiture received from the department of justice.

Issue: With five months remaining for the 2015- 2016 school year and several presentations scheduled throughout those months, our office has depleted its inventory of promotional and educational items needed for presentations. The fund increase will allow for the purchase of drug free campaign promotional and educational items for department presentations.

Solution: The increase of funds will allow for the department to make necessary purchases throughout the remaining school and summer months.

Result: Once purchased, the items will be distributed accordingly throughout presentation dates.
