Discussion and possible action to authorize payment of $6,200.00 to Pollution Control Services for lab testing conducted for permit renewal applications completed once every Five (5) years. These services were not invoiced due to the expectation from Pollution Control Services that our consultant would provide the payment. [Accounts #801-3001-6022-8, #801-3002-6022-8 and #801-3004-6022-8 (Utilities)]

Issue: We hired a consultant to provide the application process and coordination with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (T.C.E.Q.) to renew our current permits, and many times they coordinate the analysis of water samples for the application process. After non-payment it was identified we were never invoiced for these services by Pollution Control Services until December.

Solution: Provide this onetime non-routine services to Pollution Control Services.

Result: Pay for services.
