Discussion and possible action to authorize the Purchasing Agent to purchase Forty-Seven (47) Microsoft Office Professional 2016 Licenses, Forty-Seven (47) Microsoft Windows Server 2012, and Forty-Seven (47) Microsoft Exchange Standard Cal 2016 from SHI Government Solutions, in the amount of $19,255.90, pursuant to Sections 271.101 and 271.102; Cooperative Purchasing Program, Texas Local Government Code; DIR-SDD-2503. Issue: Current operating systems on numerous PC/laptops are in non-compliance with CJIS due to Old Window version of operating system, and requires upgrades to ensure compatibility with Tyler records management implementation and state/federal rules.
Solution: Upgrade hardware, software and licenses to Operating systems that will be compatible with all current requirements.
Result: Systems will be in compliance with CJIS; state and federal requirements and compatibility with new Tyler software being implemented.
