Discussion and possible action to appoint a Civil Service Commissioner, for a two-year term, commencing January 1, 2017 thru December 31, 2019; and any other matters incident thereto.
Issue:
Term has expired for current Commissioners. On December 12, 2016 Commissioners Court appointed 2 of the 3 Civil Services Commissioners.
Solution:
In order for the Civil Service Commissioners to conduct business, a quorum is required.
Result:
The appointment of the commissioners will insure smooth and efficiently run Commission, and will provide good continuity for such an important function.
