Discussion and possible action to accept award for Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) for the Program Year 2019, in the amount of ($1,742,630.00) ONE MILLION SEVEN HUNDRED FORTY-TWO THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED THIRTY DOLLARS and authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents. Grant account #2362-5150-330300. This action will not have an impact to the General Fund.Documentation has been reviewed by Webb County Economic Development department and is compliant with SPOC policies and procedures. [Requested by Javier Ramirez, CAA Director]

Issue: The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) has awarded Webb County Community Action Agency the amount of $1,742,630.00 under the Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program for the program year 2019.

Solution: The court approval will allow the Webb County Community Action Agency provide direct services to eligible low-income residents of Webb County under the CEAP program.

Result: These funds are intended to assist eligible Webb County residents with up to 8 highest remaining calendar months of energy consumption.
