Discussion and possible action to approve a contract amendment between Webb County on behalf of the Webb County Community Action Agency Self-Help Center and Habitat for Humanity of Laredo, Inc., in order to authorize a 120 day extension to complete the new residential home construction contract SHC-7216013, located at 620 Riverhill Loop, Laredo, Texas as per Court’s prior award of Request for Proposal (RFP-2016-06) "New Home Construction Build, to “Habitat” due to unforeseen numerous topography, survey, and drainage related issues and repairs on the donated lot which had to be addressed and completed prior to construction of said home, and authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents, and any other matters incident thereto. [Requested by Community Action Agency]

Background:

Habitat for Humanity of Laredo Inc. has partnered with the Webb County Self-Help Center since 2011 to build new high quality, energy efficient homes for colonia residents.

Previous Court Action:

On November 14, 2016 the Commissioner's Court voted to award Habitat for Humanity of Laredo $200,000 to build four (4) new homes under the Self-Help Center New Construction Program. The funds awarded to Habitat for Humanity of Laredo are grant funds.
