AUTHORIZE PURCHASING AGENT TO SOLICIT BIDS FOR THE WELCH ROAD CULVERT PROJECT

Discussion and possible action to authorize the Purchasing Agent to solicit bids for the Welch Road Culvert Improvements (Drainage & Roadway), as per completed plans, specifications and estimates from Porras Nance Engineering; and in accordance with the Texas Government Code; Section 2269.101 (Contracts for Facilities: Competitive Bidding); and have the County Judge sign any relevant documents and any other matters incident thereto.

Issue: Webb County is proposing the rehabilitation of the Welch Road Bridge due to wear and tear and to make improvements to the water drainage.

Solution: Part of the improvements require installation of concrete box culverts for proper drainage, approve agenda item in order to proceed with project.

Result: Webb County is making the necessary improvements to provide proper drainage and emergency access road improvements to this subdivision for residents, first responders and school district.
