Discussion and possible action to approve and consent to a contract assignment from Family Chevrolet (Awarded Bid No. 2022-02 for Mechanical & Electrical Repairs including parts on July 12, 2021, Item 17.b.) to Sames Chevrolet as authorized in the original agreement between Webb County and Family Chevrolet in accordance with Section 15 (Prohibitions against Assignment) and authorizing the Webb County Judge to sign all relevant documents and any other matters incident thereto.

Issue: Family Chevrolet has submitted written consent to assign its agreement over to Sames Chevrolet.

Solution: The Agreement between Webb County and Family Chevrolet permits assignment so long as it is in writing.

Result: Webb County will continue to receive its services for Auto, Truck and Heavy Equipment Mechanical Repairs.
