Discussion with possible action to approve expenses not to exceed $20,000 related to the Sheriff’s Office PAL’s gym and to allow the Auditor’s Office to create a sub-account within the department’s Materials & Supplies line item for PAL’s related expenses; and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: Expenses previously incurred for the PAL’s boxing gym were paid from a non-profit entity within the Sheriff’s Office. That non-profit entity has since been dissolved.

Solution: To allow for future expenses from the PAL’s gym to be covered by the Sheriff’s Office department.

Result: All future expenses related to the PAL’s gym will be paid for by the Sheriff’s Office Materials & Supplies line item.
