Discussion and possible action to approve payment to Texas Border Coalition for membership dues in the amount of $11,263.50. [Account #001-0200-6007 (Dues & Membership)]

Issue: Texas Border Coalition works closely with the state and federal government to educate, advocate, and secure funding for transportation, immigration and ports of entry, workforce, education and health care.

Solution: Obtaining membership and joining this agency, Webb County will band together to focus on priority issues such as transportation infrastructure, border security, immigration, healthcare and workforce development.

Result: Possible programs that can increase economic opportunity and bring the border region's perspective into the state and national debate on issues that affect our community.
